Valorant Will Present a Team Deathmatch That Is Different from Other Games

Source: YouTube Valorant

Before Valorant rose to the surface like it is now, there were already many First Person Shooter or FPS genre games that were quite popular in the world. Most FPS games like Point Blank or CS:GO also feature a team deathmatch mode, a mode that has never existed in Valorant before. However, reportedly, right now Valorant is brewing their own team deathmatch mode.

Of course, this isn't just a rumour, because Valorant has indeed provided a little teaser by uploading their YouTube video entitled “2023 Look Ahead // Dev Diaries - Valorant”. As the name suggests, this video contains the missions that Valorant wants to carry out in 2023.

If you are patient enough, in the final minutes of the 5:54 video, Valorant starts alluding to team deathmatch. Conceptually, team deathmatch in every FPS game is the same, namely a battle between teams whose winner will be determined by the highest number of kills obtained per game. In a way, players will be given the opportunity to respawn continuously so they can get the most team kill points.

The leak was revealed in the last minute of the video, namely Team Deathmatch. Of course, what Anna said became a hot topic for the global VALORANT community. So, what is Team Deathmatch mode?

Usually, FPS games that include a team deathmatch mode will be limited by the duration of the game. For example, the duration or limit of the game is 10 minutes, to determine who is the winner, the team with the most kills within 10 minutes will win the game.

Here, Valorant wants to try a different approach to the team deathmatch mode. According to the rumors circulating within the Valorant community and existing dataminers, it is reported that Valorant will also set a limit, but not on the duration, but on the number of kills, which is 100. If one team manages to get 100 kills first, then that team will be the winner.

This approach is unique in that players can use the abilities of every agent in Valorant. So, aiming hard opens the main element in this team deathmatch, but also how to optimize the mechanics of the available abilities.

Valorant's mission to please its ecosystem this year is promising. However, there is no clear date regarding when this mode is planned to be released.
